Land Of The Sky
We visited the mountains of North Carolina in August of 2024. By the end of September, the entire Western NC region was closed. Destroyed by Hurricane Helene, the mountain communities have started sorting out where they can rebuild, what they can save, who they lost. It's devestating and will take a long time to recover, but there is hope. I painted this canvas as a release for my emotions and while the original remains in our home, I have made 8" x 10" prints available for sale. All proceeds will go 100% to the local community.
